Impressionism

During the late 1800's a new art movement started to emerge called impressionism.  Impressionist art is associated with short, divided brush strokes or blots of paint used to create the big picture.  This art took the form of physical division as each stroke was divided to allow the intertwining of colors.  Below are some examples of impressionist art.
